Do you love looking out the airplane window?
Pilots do, too. When Pilots sit for many long hours in the cockpit, only inches from a
giant window, they can't help but see the world go by. Over the years their memory
gets
filled with brief images of inspiring sights. Some memories are only
seconds long because of the aircraft's great speed. For example, a great view through a hole in the
clouds just may last 10 seconds, but at 1000 km/hr, the aircraft will
have travelled almost 3 kilometres! Additionally, weather and lighting
constantly change an otherwise familiar view. After years most
amazing memories eventually get lost forever.
To fly between the puffy white
clouds and look down upon the Earth while soaring like a bird is an uplifting
experience. Fortunately, just like the Astronauts, from time to time in
modern multi-crew aircraft pilots get an opportunity to take a few snapshots to record the
"Pilot's View". |
